When you can use it
- Weekends and Bank Holidays (anytime)
- Monday-Friday from 09:30 onwards
- Not valid: journeys involving travel between 04:30 and 09:29 on weekdays
- There’s no minimum fare.
Where it works
- All National Rail services across Britain
- London Underground (Tube) and DLR in some cases, e.g. crossing London on a longer journey or buying a London Travelcard
Who it’s for
- Any two named people – you don’t need to be a UK resident
- You’ll need a clear photo of each cardholder
- Both named cardholders must buy their tickets at the same time
- Both must travel together for the entire journey
What gets discounted
- Yes (1/3 off):
- Standard and first class Anytime, Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak and Advance tickets, including London Travelcards
- Most Ranger and Rover tickets (e.g. All Line Rover, Thames Branches Day Ranger)
- PlusBus tickets for local bus travel
- No:
- Season tickets (weekly, monthly, annual or Flexi Seasons)
- Eurostar or heritage railway services
- Underground and DLR (except in circumstances mentioned above)
