- There’s no minimum fare.

- London Underground and DLR in some cases (e.g. longer journeys crossing London or when buying London Travelcards)
- Can be applied to an Oyster card for cheaper off-peak journeys around London on National Rail, Underground and DLR services (full details here).
If you’re a Greater London resident: You can get a 60+ Oyster or Freedom Pass for free travel around London after the morning peak. Combine this with a Senior Railcard for discounts on journeys beyond London – you’ll only need a ticket from the last station covered by your pass (e.g. Surbiton heading towards Bournemouth).

- Anyone aged 60+ at the time of purchase. You don’t need to be a UK resident – visitors are eligible too.
- You’ll need proof of age (driving licence or passport).
- The Senior Railcard only covers the named cardholder, and you’ll have to provide a clear photo. If you want to get a discount when travelling with family or friends, why not take a look at the other Railcards you can get?
